Every January, WordPress hosts a challenge called “Bloganuary.” For each day of the month, WordPress emails you a daily writing prompt. I’ve seen other bloggers participate in Bloganuary and I decided to give it a try this year. Especially since I want to get back into blogging more consistently. So let’s get started with the first prompt of Bloganuary – something I want to achieve in 2023.
What I Want to Achieve in 2023
First and foremost, something I want to achieve in 2023 is to start blogging again. It has been about a year since I have been consistently blogging. According to Forbes, blogging is still a profitable hobby and profession in 2023. Even in the age of TikTok and Instagram Reels! So bringing back my blog is a reasonable goal for 2023.
Why I Want to Bring my Blog Back
To follow up on the last point, I will tell you why I want to bring my blog back. One reason why I want to bring my blog back is to have a creative outlet where I can escape the daily stresses of life and work. Another reason why I want to start blogging again is to brush up on my writing skills, which is why I signed up to participate in WordPress’s Bloganuary challenge. Lastly, I want to blog again in order to reconnect with my audience and other bloggers.
When and Where I Will Achieve my Goal
In order to achieve a goal, it’s best to make sure that it’s attainable and measurable. To start, I will participate in WordPress’s Bloganuary challenge and write one blog post for each day in January. Then, I will aim to publish a post every Saturday for the rest of the year. This will all be done on my newly created blog, Venus and Vino.
How I Will Bring My Blog Back
Therefore, here’s how I will achieve one of my goals and bring my blog back in 2023. First, I will check my email every day for WordPress’s daily Bloganuary prompt. Next, I will publish my post for each day in January. Then, I will keep a running list of blog post ideas. In my calendar, I will plan out my posts for the rest of the year. Each day, I will set aside time to work on my blog. Hopefully, these tasks will help me successfully bring my blog back in 2023.
Who Will Keep Me Accountable
Lastly, I need a group of people to help me achieve my goal in 2023. My significant other has always been my strongest supporter and he will push me to attain my goal in 2023. My family will also hold me accountable, as I share my blog posts on social media. And of course, my fellow bloggers and readers will hold me accountable by interacting with my posts.
Conclusion of What I Want to Achieve in 2023
To recap, something I want to achieve in 2023 is to start blogging again. I want to get back into blogging so I have an outlet outside of work. To attain my goal, I will start by participating in WordPress’s Bloganuary challenge. A new post will be published for each day in January right here on Venus and Vino. In order to do this, my SO, family, and blogging network will hold me accountable. Wish me luck in achieving my goal for 2023!

I didn’t know that there’s a daily WordPress blogging challenge called Bloganuary! That’s a great way to get back into blogging consistently again. Congrats on starting again. I’ve always wanted to try daily blogging but it still overwhelms me since the blogging process takes quite long for me: from the writing, proofreading, creating graphics, formatting the post, etc! Though I have started a new series on my blog which I think will push me to blog more since I’ll be writing reviews of each episode I watch of a KDrama. Maybe once I’m comfortable with that, I can try out a daily blogging challenge such as this. It’s so great that you even have a process in place too: check your email for the daily prompt and post. Best of luck with the daily blogging challenge, Valerie! 🙂

Izzy MatiasI agree with you, as I face the same issues. Typically, it takes me about a week to get an entire blog post ready. Now that I’m juggling a full-time job, it has been harder for me to make the time to blog. But I missed it and want to get back into it!
That’s an exciting series to start on your blog. I don’t watch K-dramas, but I look forward to your posts.
Thank you, Izzy. And best of luck with your new blog series!
